$up,
This past weekend has made me feel so at ease because it seems like things are finally starting to fall into place. I have started my course at Uni, and I am excited about something for the first time in a long time. Today we went over the course load and our time tables, and I feel a little stressed but mostly just excited to learn and really show everyone what I am made of. I have this overwhelming feeling that I am going to wow my professors, and it feels so good. I finally feel like I am in the right place at the right time. I have never felt that way before.
Over the weekend I met up with this Wonderful photographer studying at London College of Fashion named, Tish Jarrett. She contacted me via email to colab for a shoot. I was super stoked because I have these awesome new glasses from Giant Vintage Sunglasses that I wanted to have captured for my blog. We went to this really cool courtyard of an apartment complex that was entirely filled with graffiti. I would have liked to get some more pictures there wearing different outfits, but the inconvenient thing about living in London is you can only bring what you can carry. I did however get to sneak in one more look that I will be posting tomorrow! Tish was a really nice girl and a really talented photographer. If you want to see more of her work you can look at her site here.
Music- I haven't really been on the look out for new music which bums me out a bit, but I will be scouting for some next week, so I can give you some new stuff to listen to! Face to Face- Daft Punk.

A Glimpse Into My Brain
These are some snaps from my sketchbook. I started this sketchbook in 2011 When I started going to California College of the Arts. It isn't filled up or really even finished, but I think looking at someone's sketch book is highly personal. You are going to be able to see into my mind.
It was a really interesting process taking pictures of these pages in my book. I took a picture of all of the pages, but I felt like a lot of them aren't good enough to show anyone yet. I think going through the book in person feels a lot different then looking at pictures. I feel like looking at the pictures I have taken I am able to look through someone else's eyes and I can see what I want to add or change. I think it's really appropriate that I ended my post with the page that says my biggest flaw. I definitely take myself way too seriously.

Quake
Shoes/ Ego and Greed, Skirt/ Sun Thrift, Shirt/ DIY, Jacket/ Rose Bowl Flea Market, Sunglasses Giant Vintage Sunglasses
Sup,
Today was my first day at Uni. I don't think I had really high expectations, because I was having a lot of trouble getting pumped up to start my course. I didn't really have fun the first day, it was disappointing really. I arrived to my first orientation type meeting and there were a lot of different kinds of fashion students there. Some of them seemed really cool, but others just seemed like the type of fashion students you hear about, rich and bitchy. I almost feel like there were less people that had their own personal style which I was pretty bummed about. I met someone that was pretty cool though.
When we set off into smaller groups I met everyone in my course, and I remember just thinking "Where do I belong in this course." I am so different from everyone else, not just by appearance but the things that I am in to. It actually made me feel really upset. I love being different, and I love to stand out, but sometimes you just want someone to get you. I know it was only the first day and it's stupid to think that your going to automatically have friends on the first day of class, but I guess I am just super out of my element. I know things will get better, and I will eventually find my crowd, but it's frustrating that it isn't instantaneously. ugh, life.
These glasses were part of my care package from Giant Vintage Sunglasses, aren't they awesome? I figured it would go well with this skirt. I think the jacket really ties it all together. I got this jacket a while back at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Thats something I really miss about LA. I will definitely be making a stop down there when I come back for winter break. I topped off the whole outfit with my Ego and Green platform sandals. I fell a couple of times today wearing these shoes. I swear the cobble stone roads are going to be the death of me.

Oh Beehive
Sunglasses/ Giant Vintage Sunglasses, Shall/ Sun Thrift, Dress/ Topshop, Shoes/ UNIF.
$up,
How awesome are these sunglasses? I got a package the other day from Giant Vintage Sunglasses with some awesome different pairs of sunglasses and these were one of them. I love how there is a comb on the side of them. If you have never herd of Giant Vintage Sunglasses, seriously check them out, all their glasses are pretty affordable, comfortable and well constructed. They have a huge variety of glasses from the 1970s- 1990s and then some styles from the 50s and 60s here and there. Check them out here.
Usually sunglasses are a last minute accessory because sometimes sunglasses can be quite the investment, but this time I tried to plan a whole outfit around these pair of sunglasses. I went with a black and white look, because it fit with the theme of the glasses the most. To me, the glasses screamed 60s, so I decided to do the 19060s style beehive with some flowers in it. It was a little hard to do, because I don't have a lot of hair to do it, but I kind of accomplished my goal (I wish it was a little taller). I wore my skeleton dress from Topshop, because I thought it would put a spin on my 60s look, and with the white knitted shall it brought it all together. Of course I had to wear my UNIF platforms, because platforms = my life. I am still getting my London legs so there were a couple of almost wipe outs, but I didn't actually fall, so I am getting there.
Some friends and I took a trip to Brick Lane for a Sample sale, which we didn't end up actually finding. It was pretty fun, the weather was better then the previous week. Brick Lane on a Sunday is pretty fun, but I think it's better once and a while, I had gone 2 times in a row, which was a little much. I did have a good time with the people I went with though. Next weekend we are going to go to the Camden Market which should be fun. This is a picture of the people I hung out with, crewin up.

Sunday Lust List
1. This is like the most perfect thing I have ever seen. I think it would save me so much money. Basically it is a film scanner that scans the pictures directly to your phone. I think I am going to ask for this for christmas.
2. These shoes, are beautiful.
3. This dress is a 90s vintage club kid dress, naturally, gotta have it.
4. These shoes are really expensive, but they are really beautiful.
5. Wicked cool am I right?
6. I am in need of a good rain coat, I think this one will do <3
7. I think this choker is so cute, but I don't know if it will make me look to goth. I am trying to not buy any more black, because goth is not my thing.
8. Simply Psychedelic
9. I thought this would look so cute with some stuff I have. I am a sucker for beanies.
10. Lastly, this Beavis and Butthead hat. I need more of Beavis and Butthead in my life.
