Ditched

Slip/ SUn Thrift, Jacket/ Rokit, Shoes/ UNIF

$up,
This is the last picture from my shoot with Tish Jarrett. I think these are my favorite. I really like the light bleed. I love those kinds of things in pictures, but of course they always look better when your not expecting it to happen.

I got this jacket at Rokit, in shorditch. I really do like that store, but sometimes I wonder how much of the stuff is actually vintage. On sunday a friend and I went into a "Vintage" shop and I swear that they were trying to sell fake vintage at vintage prices. I could tell by the material that was used to make the garment. Frustrating. This slip (that you can hardly see) is from Sun Thrift. For a while I was really into slips, and wearing them as a dress. I think that kind of stuff is really cool because its supposed to be your underwear and your kind of fighting the power and wearing them outside without anything over it. I don't think its such a big deal anymore as it would have been if you did it in the 50s or 60s, but I kind of wish it was. I love shocking clothing. These shoes are my favorite. If you have been a fan of my blog for a while you have seen me post about wanting these shoes for practically all of 2013. I got them for christmas, and I do wear them a lot, but I never get pictures of it. NOW I HAVE SOME!

Last day of Term

Pants/ Beyond Retro, Shirt/ Rummage Sale, Jacket/ Sun Thrift, Shoes/ T.u.k.

$up,
Today was the last day of my first term at LCF! Whoohoo! I'm thrilled to be done because that means the holidays are here and I get to go home and see my family! So much exclamations.

Lets talk about this outfit.
These pants were probably one of the best investments I have made since I have moved here. They are wool and on really cold days like this, they keep me warm and of course they are plaid. You can never go wrong with plaid. never. One of my favorite things to do with plaid is mixing it with floral designs, like this jacket. This jacket is a bit to short for me, but it fits my shoulders (which is hard to do). It is velvet and super itchy on the inside. Truthfully, it's a hassle and I don't really like to wear it, but today I needed to. The shirt I got from the rummage sale a couple of months ago in east London. A lot of the clothes were stained there (not in a gross way, but in a painters way) and this shirt, I found out this morning is one of them. I know that sounds kind of odd, but when I originally bought it, I thought it was pink, but now I think it was white, but it was washed with something that was pink, and it got pink-ified. Lastly this outfit is complete with my creepers. I have warn these near to death, they are kind of falling apart, but they still get me from point A to point B. Thats the important part.

Adidas

Shirt/ Sun Thrift, Jacket/ Rummage Sale, Shoes/ EBAY HOLLA!

$up,
So I had to get these shoes. I just had to. I remember my mom had a pair when I was little and I thought they were so ugly. I never thought in a million years I would be searching Ebay for a size 5 at 3 in the morning. They are surprisingly comfortable and I love how they look. This is my sort of Lazy Sunday [posted on a friday] look.

Music- I find it fitting to post some music that has been occupying my mind, the past couple of weeks.

Thanksgiving bb

Dress/Karma Clothing, Shoes/ Urban Outfitters, Jacket/ Brick Lane Market.

$up,
Let me start by saying Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am sorry for being MIA for the past 2 weeks, school is coming to an end for the holidays [Thank God!] so I have had a month of finals hell. It's almost over though, just one more week and I am finally done. I wish I was in LA to celebrate with my family, but I am super thankful that I have skype and a computer so I can at least talk to them on this wonderful holiday.
Something that I am also really thankful for it this dress that I am wearing. Karma Clothing was so generous to send me it to me. The weather may be shitty in London, but this dress's scenery warms me up! I strongly suggest that you look into their inventory on their site. They have a bunch of really awesome clothing for really affordable prices. Here are a few of my other picks:

Bruises

Top/ Lazy Oaf, Skirt/ Vintage, Coat/ UNIF, Shoes/ Ego and Greed

$up,
I went to a Lazy Oaf sample sale over the weekend where I scored this awesome top (among other things). I always saw this top on nastygal or the lazy oaf website, and I thought it was cute, but not something I would ever own. It might have been the price that I couldn't rap my head around. I got this one for ten pounds. Thats why I love sample sales, you get really awesome clothing that is really good quality (usually) for a really good price. I got some other shirts and a really wonderful dress, which I later spilled chocolate on... -__- ... Other than that one exciting event, this weekend was filled with work. The term is almost over (thank god) but I still got some things that I need to do. Wish me luck!

Bad

Dress/ Jet rag, Shoes/ Sun Thrift, Sweater/ Burbank Vintage

$up,
Scatterbrain is becoming a common occurrence in my life. I am getting so many ideas/ obligations thrown at me every hour and I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day. At the same time I don't even know what I do. That sounds so strange, but I feel like I have all this stuff to do, but then I don't know how to go about doing it or something and then I have cool ideas of stuff I want to do, but with all my work it seems like the things I want to do are out of reach. It's an interesting feeling though, I'm learning to deal with it.

Donut Talk to Me

$up,
Sorry for my absence this past week. Things have been pretty hectic and yet not. I have had class every day this week, but there is a lack of consistency with the times and people in the classes I am going to. for example today I had class at 4:30-6:30 and it was with BA footwear and FDA footwear, but yesterday I had a lecture at 9am to 10am with a whole different course and the day before that there was a class in mid afternoon that had about 10 kids in it. I can't always take a picture of my outfit mostly because of the weather. I'm still trying to figure out this whole living in London thing, I guess. I've been told the weather has been surprisingly good this year, but to my california blood it's been cold and rainy. I am adjusting though! These pictures were taken yesterday for a friends photo project. I don't know what the project was for, but I loved doing it, it was really fun. I also got paid in donuts, which is always a plus. A good way to get my love is giving me sweets, or flowers (but that's pretty obvious).

I am wearing two different outfits in these pictures. The all pink long sleeve dress is from that rummage sale I mentioned in the last post, I absolutely adore it. The other dress I have worn before on my blog. I got it in the Camden Market. It was a really great find, and I still am obsessed with it. The donut necklace I am wearing is from Cyber Dog in Camden Town, and the earrings I got in the market in that area. My headband is actually a real donut, thank god it didn't fall off.

All these pictures were taken by Rachel Dunlop, and please please check out her facebook page here and her website here, she is so talented!

Pinky

Skirt/ Beyond Retro, Socks/ Target Shoes/ Vagabond, Sweater/ Hanes, Shirt/ American Apparel

$up,
So this is the reason why I am sick today. I went out yesterday with my new friend Justin from Texas. We went down to Brick Lane because on Sunday'd they have a short of flea market. It was really very cool, I found a lot of really cool stuff, but only ended up buying a 2 pound watch and a faux fur coat for 15 pounds. I wasn't appropriately dressed for the weather in London because rain. We were walking around and it was only about 58 degrees and then it spontaneously started to rain. I guess that is just London though. We were both a little bit ill prepared and we ended up getting a cold.

Today this cold has knocked me on my ass. I have been so lazy and not productive. I have literally just been lying around and watching the office. Hopefully this is just a 24 hour bug, because Enrollment is on wednesday and I need to be at my best.
