Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Coat/ Portabello Market, Top/ Jetrag, shoes/ UNIF

$up,
My mom is visiting me this month, so I took her to the Portabello market. I found this gem of a coat. I don't know if you can tell but the image on the coat is Roger and Jessica Rabbit from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" It looks/feels like a blanket, which is actually a great thing because it has gotten a lot colder lately. I can't hang. It isn't in the negatives, but my coldest winter was 60 degrees in Oakland. Ah, I miss California.

I got these shoes for christmas, and they are too big, but I can wear 3 pairs of socks with them and then they actually fit, so thats why my ankles look super thick. I am obsessed with these shoes, and I wanted them sooo badly. I didn't return them to get the proper size because it took forever to get to my house and they arrived right when I was about to go back to London, so I just said fuck it, and took them. I plan to fix the inside, but putting in another insole, so I don't have to wear a massive amount of socks with them.

I feel as if I have been wearing a lot of black lately, and I am not really into it. Everyone in London wears mostly black, or grey. I think it is because of the gloomy weather. I like colorful clothing though because it makes me feel so much happier. Since it is cold, I have to wear a bunch of different tights, and I only have black tights, so that always throws off a colorful outfit. For now I am a little stuck with that, but I'll figure it out soon enough.

Nu Hair

Dress/ Goodwill Glendale, Shoes/UNIF, Coat/ Portabello Market

$up,
I've been on the verge of a cold for the past couple of days and it finally took over yesterday. mehhh. I took these photos yesterday after the christmas shopping madness before I felt really ill. I have a nu hair do as of a couple days ago, and I have to say, I love love love the way it came out. My old blonde/green wasn't cutting it any more. It may be hard to see from the picture but there are two different blues in my hair. It is dark blue at the roots and then it fades into a lighter blue. I can't wait to see how it looks when it all fades. I think thats my favorite thing about dying my hair, the way it looks when it is faded.

I got this dress the other day at goodwill in glendale. I was going to a party that night that called for ugly christmas sweaters, so I headed to sun thrift in sunland, which is my usual go to store, but they were randomly closed for an hour. Miffed, I drove out to glendale to buy hair dye and then I spotted the goodwill. I didn't find an ugly christmas sweater, or really any sweaters that were christmasy or ugly, but this dress caught my eye. I had to have it. I also bought this really tacky (In the best way possible) jacket with black fringe. I'll have to wear it in the upcoming posts so you can see it. my my I love tacky things.

Music- I love this song so much. It's so happy/sad and a little eerie.

Parisian Ponytail

Pants/ Portabello Market, Shoes/ Etsy, Sweater/ Borrowed, Longer Sweater/ Burbank Vintage, Head Scarf/ Portabello Market

$up,
The past couple of weeks the weather in London has really taken a dive and it is only going to get worse... (insert worried emoji). It makes me look forward to going back home for winter break, and I was already really looking forward to it. It's actually really strange how much I am looking forward to winter break. I don't really remember feeling that way the last time I went away, but then again I guess I wasn't really that far to begin with.

I am so excited to see my family, I miss them dearly. I wish that I could come back for thanksgiving because it's my favorite holiday, but of course they don't celebrate that in England. A lot of English people don't even know what it is (or at least some of the ones that I have talked to). I don't blame them though, there are English holiday's that I have never herd of. One just passed actually. It was yesterday, it was a day to remember the day that Guy Fawkes almost blew up parliament. So there are fireworks and apparently the have a bonfire to burn a fake Guy Fawkes. It's pretty interesting, but I had to much work to really participate in it.

That was a really random tangent.. Back to what I was saying..

My family. I cannot wait to see my mom and my brother and my dad. I can't wait to get special mom hugs. That's something that is really lacking in my life right now, the hug. I think it's something that a lot of us don't really do very much anymore and it's something that is really taken for granted. We should never underestimate the power of a hug. It can easily make everyone feel so much better. Ahh I can't wait to feel the love of my family. I think that's the thing I am looking forward to the most. Not Christmas, not seeing my friends, not the weather but just that love.
