Living Life in a Catsuit

Coat/ Glendale Goodwill, Shoes/ Urban Outfitters, Catsuit/ Sunthrift, Sunglasses/ Giant Vintage Sunglasses

$up,
For a long time I have really wanted to get a catsuit. I remember my best friend Sahara let me borrow a black catsuit that she had for halloween. I dressed up as a ghost, but the costume was inconvenient to wear at parties, so I would take it off and just be wearing this really cute catsuit. I have wanted one every since then I suppose. They are kind of hard to find when your a cheep-skate like me. I found this one at Sun Thrift, and I guess it was just pure luck. I find you cant really go into thrift stores with a clear image of something you want, because odds are you are not going to find it, and then you'll be kinda bummed out. The catsuit doesn't really fit properly yet, but I plan on fixing it as soon as my mom sends me my peddle for my sewing machine. Yeah you read that correctly, she sent me my machine without my peddle.. Silly mommy.

Artist Spotlight: Felisha Tolentino

So if you read the Nastygal Blog as religiously as I do, your familiar with Felisha Tolentino. Felisha is a photographer that photographs for clothing companies and certain bands. She is one of the exclusive photographers on the Nastygal blog, she takes pictures at events that their team goes to and she also photographs models for their lookbook shoots. I really love her style of photographer because it reminds me of my own. Of course she is a lot better then I am at photography, but the ideas behind what she is doing is a lot like the ideas that I have. I decided to write about Felisha because a couple of days ago I was looking at the Nastygal blog and I was feeling kind of down, but looking at her pictures from FYF made me feel so much better strangely enough. I have gathered together a collection of pictures from her Website and from the Nastygal Blog, so there is a mixture of work from clothing companies Lookbooks to random party pictures. Prepare for a photo overload...

Her Website is felishatolentino.com
and also check her out on the Nastygal Blog.

Who Do You Think You Are?

Turtle neck/ Sun Thrift See Through Top/ Vintage Hand-me-down Pants/ Sun Thrift Shoes/ Jeffrey Campbell

$up,
This look was kind of just thrown together. I am aware that none of it matches, but I actually really enjoyed that aspect of it. I wanted to wear this turtle neck that I had cut into a crop top, but I couldn't really find something to go with it. So I guess I just put on things that really didn't match. The pants are my favorite, they kind of fit me awkwardly because I am a little bit to tall for them, but I think that makes them even better. I like thrift clothes because not everything fits as it should, but I think some times it looks better that way. The see through top was my aunts in the 60s. She gave it to my mom, and then my mom gave it to me. I really love the way it looks, but every time I wear it, it makes me look like I am dressed up. I don't think this outfit would really be complete without this shirt though. The shoes I got in high school back when Jeffrey Campbell was big on the Floral Heels (These were my graduation present!). I don't really wear them that often, but I really do love them. They are a bit hard to walk it, but I think it's because the arch in my foot is a little bit higher than most.

I think I might be dying my hair a cool new color today.. It will be a surprise what color!

Music- Lately I have had some trouble thinking of songs to post. I want to post new music because I want this blog to be as current as possible, but as you can probably tell by my posts, I love old music. I think today I am going to post some Spice Girls. The Spice Girls have a soft spot in my heart. They were the first people I saw in concert when I was a young child. I love how they kind of are getting a second wave of popularity with the "hip" crowd. The Spice Girls- Who Do You Think You Are.

Face it

$up,
So my mom snapped this picture of me yesterday before I left to house sit. Right now I am currently sitting in a house watching dogs sleep. Its so exciting (...sarcasm...). I was supposed to do it when I came back from camp which would have been tonight, but Ryan had to work and since I came back early I switched days with him. I missed a really awesome costume party so I am a little bummed. All I want in life is to dress up as a rainbow.. but whatever.

I am wearing this super awesome beanie that my friend James Moreno (a.k.a. Nobody Photography) gave me. I posted a while back about a t-shirt he gave me. If you haven't read that post, DO IT. I'll just say again though, he is an awesome photographer, and he is so creative and talented, check out his facebook page and his store! I highly suggest buying this beanie, it fits great and its very comfortable, I love me a good beanie. The overalls I got at the Rosebowl swapmeet a while back, they are kind of broken, but they are made out of corduroy so that makes up for it (I am a sucker for corduroy.). The shirt is a 90s popcorn shirt, that will soon be on my etsy store. I'll keep ya posted about that. These shoes, I haven't worn in a while but they are super comfortable and affordable. I got them on ebay for like 30 bucks and the company is called Max-star. I really wanted to get the yellow ones that had a rainbow bottom, but at the time, my style wasn't so colorful. This necklace was also an ebay find. I was kind of mislead in the description because it said that it was going to be made out of metal but now thinking about it I think they were just talking about the color. I got it for .99 cents so I can't really complain. I really do love it though.
