Under Construction

Rings/ Vinca, Shirt/ Sun Thrift, Shorts/ Omaya, Shoes/ Jeffrey Campbell

$up,
How cute are these rings? I got a lovely gift basket from Vinca. Vinca is this cool new jewelry company in the US and they make really awesome rings earrings and necklaces, they even make custom jewelry. Check out their site here. I got these shorts from a vintage store in Paris called Omaya. It was a really cool place and everything was pretty cheap. I needed some new pink things and a saw these shorts and had to snag them, they are a little big, so I might take them in a bit. I have been super into turtle necks lately, so this shirt was a necessity for today.

I am getting really frustrated with the weather lately (all winter) because I am not used to having seasons, and my wardrobe is not equipt to handle it. There are all these things I want to wear, but its to fucking cold. I'm so over it. WINTER LEAVE ME ALONE!

Dancing Anymore

Dress/ Sun Thrift, Shirt/ Uniqlo, Shoes/ Dr. Martens

$up,
This look was captured in a Disney Hotel in Paris. For my 21st Birthday my mom got me a ticket to go to Disneyland Paris with her, and being a disney freak I was too down for it. We got into Paris on friday and hung around disney village and then called it an early night. This look was from saturday when we took the metro into the city and did horrible touristy stuff which wasn't horrible at all (minus the weather!). We went to du Louvre, and saw the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo, amongst other things. We went to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées and finished the night atop the Eiffel Tower. Sunday was all Disney and all fun. It's a lot different then the one in LA, but I think I like the one in LA more. One thing I found out this weekend, it sucks to be a Vegetarian in Paris. Today we went to this cool vintage store called Omaya, which I definitely recommend going to, everything is really cheap and they have really cool stuff. We also went to Pont des Arts and Notre Dame. Shortly after we went to the airport to return home to London.

I wanted to post this on saturday night, but the internet at our hotel was lousy, so I'm settling for today. I try to post as often as possible, but as of late its been really difficult. If you follow me on instagram you will get to see all my activities when I'm not posting on this blog. Check it out: Flourshur.

Music- THIS THOUGH.

Parisian Ponytail

Pants/ Portabello Market, Shoes/ Etsy, Sweater/ Borrowed, Longer Sweater/ Burbank Vintage, Head Scarf/ Portabello Market

$up,
The past couple of weeks the weather in London has really taken a dive and it is only going to get worse... (insert worried emoji). It makes me look forward to going back home for winter break, and I was already really looking forward to it. It's actually really strange how much I am looking forward to winter break. I don't really remember feeling that way the last time I went away, but then again I guess I wasn't really that far to begin with.

I am so excited to see my family, I miss them dearly. I wish that I could come back for thanksgiving because it's my favorite holiday, but of course they don't celebrate that in England. A lot of English people don't even know what it is (or at least some of the ones that I have talked to). I don't blame them though, there are English holiday's that I have never herd of. One just passed actually. It was yesterday, it was a day to remember the day that Guy Fawkes almost blew up parliament. So there are fireworks and apparently the have a bonfire to burn a fake Guy Fawkes. It's pretty interesting, but I had to much work to really participate in it.

That was a really random tangent.. Back to what I was saying..

My family. I cannot wait to see my mom and my brother and my dad. I can't wait to get special mom hugs. That's something that is really lacking in my life right now, the hug. I think it's something that a lot of us don't really do very much anymore and it's something that is really taken for granted. We should never underestimate the power of a hug. It can easily make everyone feel so much better. Ahh I can't wait to feel the love of my family. I think that's the thing I am looking forward to the most. Not Christmas, not seeing my friends, not the weather but just that love.

Halloweenier

$up,
I'm sorry for not writing the past week. I was planning to post this the day after Halloween but I was in Paris and I didn't have access to the internet. That kind of threw off my blogging, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I went to Paris this past weekend to go to the Pitchfork concert with my really good friend from High School. She is studying abroad in Rome with one of her friends from college, and her best friend is studying in Florence, so we all decided to meet up for this show. The highlight of the weekend was seeing Disclosure Friday night. I love disclosure (As I am sure you can tell) and I was expecting them to be really good live, but I was not expecting them to blow my mind. They swept me off my feet. If you ever have the opportunity to see them, take it with no hesitation.

Coming back from Paris I feel like I missed so much, and I have so much I need to catch up on. How was your Halloween? As you can tell I went as 'The Girl With The Pearl Earring' and it was a hit. People came up to me off the street and told me how original they thought my outfit was and how much they liked it. It was very flattering. I was going to go to this club called the nest on halloween with some friends, but at the last minute a friend and I went to a bar in central London. It was interesting, but my friend and I left after 30 minutes. Mainly because it was getting really late and I had to go to Paris in the morning, so I needed my sleep. It took us ages to get back home, but we ran into some interesting people on the way home and had a lovely conversation with a man and women who were probably about 27. They were basically giving us life advise, which I usually hate, but I thought it was pretty useful. I guess all and all halloween wasn't very eventful, it doesn't really compare to Halloween in LA, but I guess I knew that going into it.

Music-In honor of the Pitchfork festival, I wanna post some disclosure <3

London Homies

Sweater/ Oakland Goodwill, Shirt/ Salvation Army, Leggings/ Target, Shoes/ Vagabond, Hat/ Camden Market, Glasses/ Giant Vintage Sunglasses.

$up,
This past weekend has made me feel so at ease because it seems like things are finally starting to fall into place. I have started my course at Uni, and I am excited about something for the first time in a long time. Today we went over the course load and our time tables, and I feel a little stressed but mostly just excited to learn and really show everyone what I am made of. I have this overwhelming feeling that I am going to wow my professors, and it feels so good. I finally feel like I am in the right place at the right time. I have never felt that way before.

Over the weekend I met up with this Wonderful photographer studying at London College of Fashion named, Tish Jarrett. She contacted me via email to colab for a shoot. I was super stoked because I have these awesome new glasses from Giant Vintage Sunglasses that I wanted to have captured for my blog. We went to this really cool courtyard of an apartment complex that was entirely filled with graffiti. I would have liked to get some more pictures there wearing different outfits, but the inconvenient thing about living in London is you can only bring what you can carry. I did however get to sneak in one more look that I will be posting tomorrow! Tish was a really nice girl and a really talented photographer. If you want to see more of her work you can look at her site here.

Music- I haven't really been on the look out for new music which bums me out a bit, but I will be scouting for some next week, so I can give you some new stuff to listen to! Face to Face- Daft Punk.
