Moron

$up,

So I haven't posted on a sunday in a while (mainly because school has been kicking my ass lately). However I have free time today and I thought it was the perfect opportunity. It is Mothers day in America, and I just want to say Happy Mothers Day to the best mother in the world (My mother), and I wish I was there to celebrate with her.

Now onto this posts agenda. Lately I have been really into a 50s early 60s kick on things and these movies/ bands have been great. I have seen/ herd a lot of them before, but some are first time watches/ listens. I really admire the color and the styles in which everything was used. A lot of the movies were made in later years than the movies take place, but I still think it captures the memory of that time, but in a more idealistic way, which I kind of enjoy. Most of the films are cult films, so they didn't do super well in the box office, but they did really good with a large group of young people, which now have grown older. We are now the legacy of these movie cult followers and it is our turn to watch. If you haven't seen these movies or herd these songs, check them out, because they are brilliant.

Cry Baby

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Hairspray (1988)

Clockwork Orange

Female Trouble

Hunx & His Punx

Shannon and the Clams

bc glitter

King Krule

Harlem

Tijuana Panthers

Some of these groups don't look 50s/60s but they kind of have a nostalgic sound to them that brings 50s/60s music back into the modern world.

  1. Why Flourshur, you're making me relive my younger days. lol

Clockwork Orange in particular is neither unpopular nor a cult movie, it's still as amazing today as when it was made, and the issues even more prophetic. Anyone who hasn't seen it should.
